Devious Journal EntryIf you become a victim of a crime, do not stay silent. Speak out loud, seek support and help. There are many organisations that offer free counselling with lawyers and psychologists, ready to help you out.
If you get to know about a crime, do not stay silent, either. React. Contact your counsellor, your family, the police, or anyone you trust and believe that will know how to help.
This is the way of criminals - they rely on people's meekness, they will blackmail and frigthen you, they will speak fancy words about how no one will believe you, or how no one will help you, how you have no proof. They will also tell lies about you, about how you might have made all this up, and how hurt they are, just to make others feel sorry for them.
Staying silent is the worst you can do. They won't stop doing what they do. If you don't react, they will continue and they will most likely hurt other people.
Devious Journal EntryDo you play Flight Rising?
If so, add me! My nickname is, as usual, LadyFromEast c:
Devious Journal EntryStill mostly away from dA. Why?
Well, it's a long story, and I can only give away cetrain parts of it. Other details are still top secret and only accessible for those directly involved or my most trusted friends. I also don't want you guys to worry about me, and if I wrote everything down, you most certainly would. I also know some of you would fight for me, but this is the kind of fight I have to go through myself, alone. I also don't want to be taken as someone who keeps telling gossips and lies, even if those "gossips and lies" are in fact the truth. The worst kind of truth, but still, the truth.
I can just say I keep holding on.
I'm writing my degree as well as I'm doing well with my university-related stuff. All of it is going well as far as now, even though I'm a bit short of time lately. None of those university and education-related issues worry me much as of late.
I've had a major breakdown as it comes to my health, but this as well has been treated quite well, even though I'
Carrying onFirst and most important of all, I wanted to sincerely thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday It's so kind of you to remember and donate your time to write me your wishes.
Life still keeps me busy with numerous issues, both related with studying and private life. I'm trying to carry on, though. I'm lucky I'm not left alone, having people to support me both here and in real life Thank you very much for this!
AbsenceJust giving a sign of life to my fellow deviants.
I'm recently very busy with life issues and university. Mostly they are things I should not talk about in public.
I want to thank my friends, who have certain bits of information of what's up with my life recently. I wouldn't have made it without your support. All what you've done to comfort and support me in this time of my life is entirely priceless and I cannot thank you enough.
Gone designingYes. My time has once again become very hectic due to university tasks, so I will be away until the semester has ended.
As for the project I mentioned earlier in polish, I'm thinking about uploading the complete version here, perhaps in parts.
Should anyone need to contact me, the best way for that at the moment is my e-mail, skype, facebook or cellphone.
Prosba do fantastow i konwentowiczowJestem studentką 3 roku Architektury i Urbanistyki.
AbsenceI'm going to be extremely busy this year. I'm starting my engineer's degree, plus the amount of studying will now be really big. My visits here will be again very short, so please don't be mad at me if I fail to reply to you in time.
I hope to manage somehow, with the help and presence of the people that are dear to me.
CertificatesIf you were to choose one, would you rather aim for CAE, CPE or TOEIC?
Or perhaps you would choose a different one because it is of higher value, or accepted in a wider range of companies and gives you better opportunities?
I'm considering only british english certificates. Decided to finally make my mind up and start collecting money for future. I may need a certificate later on, but I cannot waste my money on too many of them. One will be enough, but I need to find the best option.

Imagine that you are a young social worker, dedicated to finding out the hidden and forgotten old souls who haunt the cold, mean streets of the city. You seek to report on their living conditions, possibly recommending they be removed from their roach-infested “homes.”

You CAN Do It Too! Commissions, Exposure, and...
Do you feel like no one cares about your artwork? That no matter how hard you try, you'll never improve? Well, I've been there before.
A little less than a year ago, I didn't even have 100 watchers. It was tough trying to find commissions, even though I priced them around 10 - 100 an hour. Sure, I had some wonderful people supporting me (thank you very much for that!), but when I looked at the thousands of diehard fans the "popular" artists had, I felt kinda useless. It seemed like even a thousand watchers, or just being able to earn minimum wage was impossible. Sometimes I wanted to cry from all the effort I put in. I kept drawing and drawing but barely improving. I was frustrated and felt useless. But instead of giving up, I pushed myself even harder, and by God's grace it's starting to work out for me.
I now have over 16,000 amazing people encouraging me, and I know it's only a matter of tim
No more excuses, it's time to improve your art! You’re probably well acquainted with the old proverb “practice makes perfect.” And while I don’t fully believe that perfection is attainable, because the very notion of perfection is somewhat subjective, getting better at anything requires both time and effort. I’m going be very blunt here; if you want to improve your artistic skill you need to actually practice.
My heart goes out to everyone here who is struggling to improve so don’t feel that I’m purposely singling you out here. However throughout my time on dA (and in real life) I’ve met artists begging for advice on how to quickly improve and sadly when I tell them to begin practicing the excuse is always ‘well, I don’t really have the time for that.’
And I ain’t got time for yo attitude.
You do have the time

Basic CSS Style GuideIntroduction
CSS is a style language used to define the style and formatting of web pages. It is used in conjunction with HTML.
If we think of HTML as the building blocks of the web then, essentially, CSS is the painter and decorator. Very simply, HTML defines the structure of the page and CSS defines the style.
What I'll be helping you with here is getting to grips with the basics of CSS. I'll be explaining how use CSS as well as providing a number of examples that you can use to style your own web pages and journals. All you need to do is copy/paste the code and replace the sample text with your own content. Along with the quick reference I've also written a brief glossary of terms and provided a list of useful links in case you wish to do some further reading.
A point of note is that while the information and examples I've given here apply to CSS use anywhere on the web, this guide itself is geared towards the use of CSS on deviantART. As such, and given that this h

JULY Challenge WATER vote and win points:icontransparentplz:
All works here
This is the new way to find our winner of our monthly challenge: instead using a Poll with the ten most voted of the period, we'll be using a blog to showcase the 20 MOST VOTED on this theme!
This means, or so I hope, more exposure for your pieces and galleries.
The idea is simple: each work has a number and all deviants have the opportunity to vote like if it was a poll...with the difference that you will choose not one but 3 favourites!
All deviants may vote, INCLUSIVE who is participating; the participants may vote for themselves and ask friends and watchers to vote; this blog may have publicity by all means and be submitted in groups.
The work with most votes wins 130 points;
the second place wins 80, the 3rd place wins 50 and the 4th wins 25 .
These prizes c

Manip AcademyIntroducing a new project!
Manip Academy (thanks, cristii, for inspiration for the name) is a new photomanipulation project inspired by projecteducate. We all love to learn, and we learn best from one another. Here's our chance to share what we know.
Manip Academy is an education initiative designed to spread the knowledge and the love. It is a collaboration between CRPhotomanipulation and we-HEART-photomanip. We will share tips and tricks for photomanipulation success. It is difficult to write tutorials, but anyone can write a simple tip or describe how they achieved a specific effect.
This project will feature two weekly articles written by the community every week, on Mondays and Thursdays. This will be an ongoing project within our community, and we hope that many people will take advantage of the chance to sign up to submit one blog or even just a few sentences to help the community.
